USS Privileges & Responsibilities 2021-22
What a lucky USS cohort!
The following privileges have been agreed for Upper Senior School students at the start of the academic year . These will be monitored carefully, by the Senior School Leadership Team, and may be increased or amended during the year:
- Non-Uniform, Formal Dress as laid out in the Dress Code
- Students will also be expected to wear an Upper Senior School gold lanyard at all times (for safeguarding and security purposes)
- Students will be able to leave the campus at lunchtime (12:50 - 1:35)
- Students must sign in/out at Senior School reception, showing security their separate photo lunchtime pass before leaving the campus
- Students who demonstrate a poor general record of punctuality e.g. being late to lessons and registration, will lose the privilege of leaving the campus at lunchtime
- Students who return late or leave early will also have this privilege removed
- Sole use of the IB Common Room and Quiet Study Room
- Ability to use microwaves and other food and drink facilities
- Please see below for the student-created 'IB Centre Charter' which outlines their agreed terms for the appropriate use of the IB Centre facilities
- Access to the Dining Hall at anytime
- Please note that students are not allowed to bring food from the dining hall for consumption in the IB Common Room
- Unique privilege to form the Common Room Committee with the Social and Wellbeing Ambassadors given the responsibility to improve the wellbeing of students through the innovative and supportive use of the IB Common Room
IB Centre Charter (Common Room and IB Quiet Study Room)
Below is the Common Room Charter (2020-21). This is revised each year, by the students, to ensure that the IB Common Room and IB Quiet Study Room are utilised for the good of all students in the community.
