Readers Cup

Readers Cup celebrations go online

Given the new constraints in Singapore, our Readers Cup celebrations had to go online.

At the ceremony the Red Dot Books for next academic year were revealed and there are some fabulous books again! These books will all be in our libraries in August but if anyone isckeen to make a head start, we have asked Densie from Closetful of Books to make a book order from. They will deliver all book orders to your homes. Please find attached a QR code and here is a link to the order form.https://bit.ly/reddotbooks

And our Older Readers Team: Anjali, Eileen, Seeohee, Jay, Anisha, Harman

We have now secured the virtual authors for the event on the 17th May. They are all authors of Red Dot books this year and we are excited to announce them here.

Younger Readers: Jaqueline Harvey, author of Kensy and Max

Older Readers: Dusti Bowling, author of Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus

Mature Readers: Wai Chim, author of The Surprising Power of a Good Dumpling

All authors will provide a 30 minute talk and 15 minutes for questions.

In addition we have been in touch with Candy Gourlay, the author of Bone Talk (older readers). She is unable to do author talks because of her writing schedule but she has released a pre-recorded presentation for Bone Talk. It is 20 minutes long. Here it is https://youtu.be/G4Tl296fft8. I have watched it and it is well worth viewing! There is also an eight minute story starter workshop video – https://youtu.be/sPuhfkduDB8
