Our first Books & Bickies meeting
We might be starting small but we have great great hopes for our Books & Bickies Reading Group this year. Watch this space as our numbers grow and we get into deep and meaningful discussion about this year's Red Dot books.
The Red Dot student choice book awards are an initiative of the International School Libraries Network (ISLN) in Singapore. The awards were founded in 2009. All school libraries regionally are welcome to participate. Books are Shortlisted in four age-based categories, with eight titles in each. Student voting takes place in May, and winners are announced each year at the Readers Festival.
DCSG events associated with this initiative include:
- The Red Dot Book House Competition (Junior School)
- ISLN Readers Festival (formerly known as the Readers Cup) (Junior and Senior Schools)
Multiple copies of shortlisted books are available from our school libraries. You may also like to consider purchasing from an online book store, or locally from Closet Full of Books.
