Mind Changers has a number of episodes, each about an important discovery in Psychology.

PsychCrunch is from the British Psychological Society. It looks at whether findings from psychological science can make a difference in real life.

Online extracts and videos of the authors speaking about these books are available.

  • The man who mistook his wife for a hat - Oliver Sacks. This is available online for free as a PDF. A neurologist describes case histories of some of his patients.
  • Thinking, Fast and Slow - Daniel Kahneman. This looks at decision making and the biases that result from cognitive processing.
  • Behave: the biology of humans at our best and worst - Robert Sapolsky. This looks at the extent to which our biology controls our behaviour.
